Cooperative movement was firstly introduced into Myanmar in 1904-1905. Central Cooperative Society Ltd., was established in January 1975 and was restructured on March 29, 2002, in accordance with the 1992 Cooperative Society Law.
CCS locates 4th floor of (B) Complex of Cooperative Business Centre(CBC), junction of Sayasan Road and New University Avenue Road, Bahan Township, Yangon, Myanmar.
CCS’s member society
CCS’s member society as at 31 March 2016 is 424 federations and 21 Unions. So the total number of membership is 445 societies.
CCS collected a value of kyats 916.3 million share as at 31.3.2016 from its 445 member societies and disbursed kyats 43.18 million on share dividend to the member societies.
To fulfill the economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations of our co-operative societies, and strive towards sustainable development, in accordance with co-operative values and principles.
To assist our co-operatives in promoting and strengthening their socio - economic enterprises, enhancement of International Relations, to organize education, training and information networking and to participate in the development of our communities.
